Round 4 Rundown

When it comes to time attack, Buttonwillow Raceway Park is a landmark for records. Sadly for us Miatas cracking that 2-minute mark is demanding enough. Nonetheless, we will be having a blast driving configuration CW13 this coming Sunday the 26th and BRP! Super fun track. It’s going to be a super good time. And even more super hot. Make sure to bring all of the things that make you less miserable in the heat: water, sunscreen, hats, EZ ups and other forms of shade, coolant (for the car!).
Arrive between 7:15-7:30am
We will have our own registration as usual so make sure to come early and check in with Touda. I might make a cameo appearance early but I prefer to stroll in casually late. Don’t do what I do! Before coming to register, you must have a Driver Waiver and general tech form filled out. We will have Roadster Cup tech forms available, but I recommend printing one ahead of time and bringing it with you. So you will have a grand total of 3 forms. Every participant MUST have a Roadster Cup tech form turned into timing. Failure to do so may result in disqualification.
Timing
Timing is free and included in your track day. Timing will only have one line for all drivers (so it will be a long wait!). I recommend heading straight to the timing line after registration. You will turn in your Roadster Cup Tech form to Timing. Before going to timing, make sure you have your tech form filled out with the appropriate class so Bryan (our timing guy) can input your information. You must have trade an ID or Credit Card to receive timing. Even if you rent a helmet and leave your ID for that, you still have to leave a second form of ID or a Credit Card with timing. Your ID will be returned to you once you’ve returned your transponder. If two people are sharing a car, each driver must have their own transponder and run only one transponder on the car at a time in correspondence with the driver. Failure to do so may result in disqualification.
Drivers’ Meeting
The Roadster Cup run group will have a separate drivers’ meeting. We will go over gridding, flags, passing, and Roadster Cup procedures.
Roadster Cup Private Group
We will have a private run group and sessions 2, 3, and 4 will be gridded.
Roadster Cup participants are not required to drive in the private group. If you are too fast or slow for the group, you can run in a group above or below. Times will only count from one run group if you are running in multiple groups, and you must tell me at the beginning of the day. Failure to do so may result in disqualification.
We will try to make as many announcements as possible to make sure that you do not miss the call to grid. BE ON TIME TO GRID! Failure to be on time to grid may result in losing your grid spot, and you will be sent out at the back of the group.
Additional Information
Each driver has until their 4th session to set their fastest time.
If you have not received your Roadster Cup season sticker or Roadster Cup sticker I will have those available.
For those of you driving up Saturday or staying the weekend in general. If you mention to most of the motels in town that you are going to be racing this weekend they usually give a slightly discounted rate.
Can’t wait to see everyone this weekend. Good luck prepping your cars!
