MazFest 2015 takes on Auto Club Speedway in Fontana

All Mazda Track Day and Enthusiast Festival: September 20th, 2015

Extreme Speed, Redline Time Attack, and Mazda Owners Club of California announces MazFest 2015 will be held at Auto Club Speedway in Fontana, California. For Southern California Mazda Owners and Enthusiasts, MazFest is the annual brand exclusive festival which celebrates all models of Mazda’s both previous and present.

Track slots are open to Mazda vehicles only for levels from beginner to advanced, and professional instruction is available for drivers looking to improve track techniques, or for those who may be participating on the track for the first time. In previous years, MazFest has been held at other local Southern California tracks including Barona, Buttonwillow, and Willow Springs International Raceway, and is excited to return for the third time to the challenging and fun Auto Club Speedway this year due to its closer location and popularity among Mazda track participants.

This year’s MazFest will also feature an Autocross course for those Mazda drivers wanting to focus on lower speed handling and technique refinement. Spots are limited for the Autocross portion of the event, and driver slots are expected to fill up.

Round 7 of the Extreme Speed Roadster Cup is scheduled to take place at MazFest 2015. The Extreme Speed Roadster Cup is a Miata only series that focuses on creating a fair and friendly (yet competitive) series run by enthusiasts for enthusiasts. All experience levels are encouraged to join and participation is included at no additional cost with track day registration. Prizes are awarded to the podium of each class.

MazFest also features a popular Mazda only car show, with trophies awarded to the first place vehicles in each model category announced prior to the event on the MazFest website. Vehicle registration for the car show is free.

Day of activities include an event raffle, Mazda exclusive vendors, and a parade lap for all participants who are interested in an amazing photo opportunity and to experience on the popular Autoclub Speedway first hand.
